e-business Application and Database Development
In an ideal world, one would find an off-the-shelf solution for
your unique and specific business requirements.
Unfortunately, the world is not perfect and life doesn't usually
work this way.
More often than not, companies have developed "home grown"
proprietary software applications to meet their business requirements.
These applications have become mission critical to our clients and
they just can't live without them. However, the Internet offers
tremendous efficiencies in communication costs and networking.
In order to preserve their well-established business logic and
process, yet significantly improve upon what they have by taking
advantage of Internet architecture, many of our clients have looked
to Nexuswave to assist them to migrate these important applications
to the web.
Nexuswave's considerable expertise in the design, implementation
and integration of Intranets, Extranets, business-to-business
(B2B), as well as business-to-consumer (B2C) transactional e-commerce
solutions has helped many Canadian companies over the past five
years to catapult their businesses to the forefront of their industry.
"e-Business is now an integral part of how we deliver our
services. It has enabled Hewitt to distinguish ourselves in our
market segment and more importantly, service our clients in new
and improved ways".

From a technology perspective, Nexuswave has considerable experience
working with both Microsoft web-based technologies as well as J2EE
compliant technologies.
On the Microsoft side we typically create web applications using
a combination of MS Active Server Pages (ASP), Visual Basic (VB),
C++ COM Objects, and .NET technologies. On the J2EE side, applications
are written using Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Beans and Enterprise
Java Beans (EJB's). Nexuswave creates J2EE applications using either
IBM WebSphere or Oracle 9i as product suites. At the core of our
solutions there is most often an Oracle, MS SQL Server or IBM DB2
database.
